Sunday 30/05/1982 finds Class 103 DTS(L) no. M56165 parked at Tyseley depot, Birmingham. The chrome handles across its bus type seats can be seen through the windows. Latterly allocated to Chester depot, it was moved from there to Tyseley for storage 03/1982, withdrawn 11/04/1982, where it resided until 19/07/1983 when hauled to Tinsley for further storage. Eventually towed to Mayer Newman, Snailwell and arrived 29/06/1984 and burnt 16/07/1984. Graeme Phillips Collection.
A Class 101 DMU in refurbished livery on Tyseley depot. The DMBS closest is M53303, unusual in carrying the 53xxx number in this livery, but dates the image between April 1983 when it was renumbered and July 1984 by which time it was in blue/grey. Mike Bunker.
